“It must be emphasized once more that the pastoral intervention of the church in support of the family is a matter of urgency.
Every effort should be made to strengthen and develop pastoral care for the family,
which should be treated as a real matter of priority, in the certainty that future
evangelization depends largely on the domestic church.”
-Pope John Paul II in “On the Family,” 1981
In response to the Church’s teaching, with the guidance of the US Conference of Catholic Bishops and the support of the Archbishop, the Family Life Office offers married couples and families a variety of helpful resources and programs and offers to parishes leadership training and resources for serving all kinds of families across the life cycle.
There are several resources offered to families so that they can fulfill their vocation to become ‘domestic churches.’
