Dan Szalewski

College I
Conception Seminary

Hi, I'm Dan Szalewski. I have four brothers and four sisters in my family. My parents are Tim and Susan Szalewski. I was born and raised in LaVista, Nebraska. I went to grade school at St. Columbkille and graduated from high school at Creighton Prep.

My home parish is St. Columbkille Parish in Papillion, Nebraska. At St. Columbkille, we have been blessed with good, holy priests to serve us.

The Lord called me to the seminary after I graduated from high school. During my years in high school, I often asked God about my vocation. I intended on going to Benedictine College after I graduated, but the Lord had other plans for me. Now, I am a freshman at Conception.

For anyone discerning a call to priesthood, the best advice I can give is to pray. If you feel that God directing you to the priesthood, I would recommend that you give the seminary a try. The best place to discern a vocation to the priesthood is the seminary.
