Grady Ramold
College I
My name is Grady Ramold I am the son of Nick and Beth Ramold. I grew up in Neligh, Nebraska and attended St. Francis parish there. I graduated from Pope John XXIII Central Catholic High School.
For the past two years I attended Northeast Community College in Norfolk pursuing a degree in nursing. After two years of that I was fairly confident that nursing was not for me and really didn’t know what I wanted to do. I had been feeling a call from God since early in my childhood, but this calling significantly increase in high school and in college. I felt that this was God telling me to stop making excuses and just give a try. I talked to my parents and Fr. Hoesing, the vocation director, and this fall I begin my studies at Conception Seminary in Conception, Missouri as a sophomore.
I really do enjoy it here, the guys are great, this country is gorgeous, and the Monks always have words of wisdom. I am really looking forward to the years to come with high hopes, and I'm sure they won’t disappoint.
I would tell anyone who has even thought about it a little bit to just put it in Gods hands and take the plunge, even if it’s not for you it certainly won’t hurt you. If you do feel the call you don’t want to live your life saying, "What if?"
